    Greetings everyone:

Well, the new Scorched-Earth Policy release "MMVI" is finally here. It's been a long road and we're super pride of this disc - all 7-songs / 29 minutes of it. We really appreciate all the correspondence from everyone in the past year, so here's the record and cheers!

    Track listing for "MMVI" :

    3. Train Rolls Without You

Be sure to check out some streaming full-length songs on our MySpace page and order a copy here.

We've been hard at work, jamming and coming up with a live set that will blow doors. We're shooting for some mid-October, November and December live dates to unleash the mayhem, so any of you promoters out there, give us ring.

It's looking like the honorable Judd Mason, vocalist extraordinaire from the band Stomach, will be graciously lending us his talents for this round of live shows. We've had a lot of fun with Judd and it just sounds crushing! He's got the perfect Ronnie James meets Brutal Truth chops, tone and attitude that this band will always be in need of.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and we'll see you soon. One last note: the new Scorched-Earth Policy email address is: band@scorched-earthpolicy.com

Greetings! Hope you're all having a kick-ass summer.

It's taken entirely too goddamn long, but Scorched-Earth Policy is very pleased to announce that our new 7-song / 29-minute disc "MMVI" is FINISHED!

Our main man, Thilo Fehlinger, was at the helm again and we really took our time this last year making sure that the songwriting and production was as perfect as it could be. Cheers to Thilo for helping us capture this beast on tape and making it ROCK!

We're holding off on releasing it just yet because we're talking to a few labels about getting it released in the U.S., Europe and Japan where it belongs. A new live set is also being whipped into shape, so we'll be taking it to the streets sooner or later. Stay tuned for that.

So for now, enjoy the final mix MP3 samples on the Sounds page and let us know what you think.

Also, check out the new Scorched-Earth Policy page on MySpace.com and add yourselves to our Friend's list or whatever the hell you do on that thing.

    1/9/05

Happy 2005, everybody! Hope the new year finds you all in good health and good spirits.

It's been a rainy weekend at the crib, so I've hunkered down with a case of Coors light, some Souza white tequila, Black Sabbath's Born Again album (goddamn is Ian Gillian on fire!) and decided to update this site and upload some new music.

So where did 2004 go for Scorched-Earth Policy? Well, after playing a load of great gigs in 2003 supporting the Salvage Nothing disc, we found ourselves once again dealing with all the bullshit that goes along with being an unsigned metal band. You know, getting rid of flakey band members, alcoholic seizures, divorce, home ownership, unemployment, etc., etc... It was quite a year. But, through it all, we kept cranking at least three days a week writing and recording what we believe to be our best set of tunes yet.

Now, with all the dead weight cleared out, we will be releasing our new recording in the next month or so and should be back on the live circuit sometime in the spring.

In the meantime, there's an 8-minute MP3 sampler on the Sounds page of the new stuff that will hopefully tide you over until the actual release. Enjoy it and let us know what you think.

The Images page has also been updated.

    Current Playlist:

  • Black Sabbath - Born Again
  • The Who - Who's Next
  • Elvis Presley - Live at Madison Square Garden '72

  • Venom - Welcome to Hell
  • Saxon - Strong Arm of the Law

R.I.P. Diamond D. - long live the shred.

    11/20/01

If you are too broke for Slayer that night, come on out to Kimo's in San Francisco on December 7th, as we will be rocking out with our good friends Mudslinger, Ph'cophony and also, Fighting Mutts. We've got a killer set of new tunes together with our friend Mark T. on vocals. We'll be opening the show at 9:30 sharp! Check the TOURS page for details.

We are also in the process of booking a Sunday night show at Sherry's in Hayward for December. More on that when it is confirmed.

Our apologies to anyone that came out to Kimo's expecting to see us play on September 21st. Due to the mass murder on 9/11, my vacation plans got severely screwed and I ended up being stranded in Ohio for an extra day. Subsequently, I also missed the Tool and Meshuggah show that I had tickets for while on vacation. I'm considering suing the al Qaeda network for damages. Dickheads.

The full-length album is available now on Rage of Achilles Records. Order it here! Also, check out the Rage of Achilles full-page ad (including S.E.P.) in the latest issue of Terrorizer magazine. (Emperor is on the cover). There is also a review of the record in this issue.

    More news soon.................

    7/9/01

Greetings. Just wanted to thank everyone for their email inquires as to what the hell S.E.P. has been up to. I was going to wait until we overhauled the site, but here's a brief update.

First off, we have an album coming out on England's Rage of Achilles Records in October. They are repackaging both the "Bootcamp Demo 2000" and "Tones of Ambivalence XCIX" releases on one CD. So basically it's an 8 song, 44 minute album that kicks ass!

Secondly, check out killer new reviews of the "Bootcamp Demo" in the latest issues of Illliterature and Metal Maniacs. This comes on the heels of numerous other great reviews from various sources around North America and Europe. I'm going to post this stuff shortly.

Third and most importantly, we have been writing a ton of great new music with Berkeley-based singer, Mark T. We're looking forward to taking it and him out live in the next few months. Right now, though, the creative streak is so strong, we don't want to interrupt it for anything else. The music comes first for us as it always has and everything else can wait. Our vision and focus are clearer than ever and it really shows in the material. It will destroy!

We're also busy demoing the new stuff on our digital recorder for another label. There is a possibility of recording and releasing a brand new full length album that would contain all the material we have written in the last nine months or so. More on that story as and if it develops…..

Last, we are slowly but surely gathering the materials to overhaul this site. We've been wanting to do it for a while, but there are only so many hours in a day. When forced to choose between fucking around with the website or writing songs, the music always wins. Without that, the rest doesn't mean shit anyway!

That's it for now and we look forward to seeing you soon.

    Mark L.
    S.E.P.
